  • Love The Muses (angelic)

    Love the Muses

I love the muses their whispers divine
Guiding my soul in this blessed sunshine
Songs of the heart through the starry night
They lift me up to the skies so bright

In moments of doubt when shadows fall
The muses' grace hears my silent call
Their voices gentle they heal my wound
With every hymn they make me swoon

Oh the muses they sing so fine
In this gospel of love their light does shine
    Hallelujah for the muses' song
    In their melody I belong

When life is heavy and trials are near
Their sweet serenade calms every fear
    Like angels' chorus in harmony
Their sacred words set my spirit free

Let me dwell in the muses' embrace
Feel their warmth with unending grace
    Their love perpetual flowing through
In their presence I am made anew
Oh the muses they sing so fine

In this gospel of love their light does shine
    Hallelujah for the muses' song
    In their melody I belong

    Love the Muses (Angelic 2)

From heaven light is shining bright
Muses guide me through the night
    Every whisper fills my soul
With a love that makes me whole

Oh I love muses they inspire
Set my heart and soul on fire
    Lifting me to heights unknown
With their love I never roam

In the silence of my room
Muses come and break the gloom
    Filling me with endless grace
I can see my true love’s face

Oh I love muses they inspire
Set my heart and soul on fire
    Lifting me to heights unknown
With their love I never roam

    Every note and every line
    Guided by their hand divine
    In their presence I believe
In their light I’m set free

With a song I’ll always praise
    Muses brightening my days
In the rhythm of their breath
I’ll find love that never rests

    Love the Muses (3)

    Whispers in the morning sun
    Muses with their wings undone
They sing a tune that's just begun
    Harmony like gold they've spun

Voices lift to skies so bright
    Guiding us to endless light
Their chorus fills the endless night
    Hearts align

    Souls take flight
    Oh the muses
    Oh how they sing
    Angels' voices
    Heavens ring

    Every note like gentle spring
    Healing winds their melodies bring
Soft as clouds they ease our pain
    Joyful tears fall like rain

    In their song
    Hope will remain
Love and peace in each refrain
They descend on beams of grace
In each smile we see their face

    Harmony
    We all embrace
    In their wings
    A warm embrace

    Oh the muses
    Oh how they sing
    Angels' voices
    Heavens ring

    Every note like gentle spring
    Healing winds their melodies bring

Folke Bernadotte: Enemy of Israel? | Featured Documentary part 1

Al Jazeera's two-part documentary Killing the Count examines the eventful life of Count Folke Bernadotte, head of the Swedish Red Cross and a leading figure in the rescue of thousands of concentration camp prisoners in World War II.

Count Folke was appointed as UN Mediator in the first Arab-Israeli war, shortly before he was assassinated by Zionist extremists in 1948.

French Colonel André Sérot was also killed in the assassination. He was resistance fighter who also saved many Jews. His wife had been deported in 1943 and then liberated in 1945 by a rescue operation initiated by Bernadotte.

In part one of Killing the Count , we explore the story of Count Folke Bernadotte's efforts during World War II to help prisoners in Nazi concentration camps.

Bernadotte negotiated the release of more than 30,000 prisoners, one third of them Jews, from German concentration camps, in an extraordinary humanitarian effort which would come to be known as the 'White Buses campaign'.

  • In ancient Greece, bees (mélissa) The Sacred Bee -, were considered sacred messengers of the gods, particularly by the Muses, goddesses of art, poetry and science

The muses sent bees to humans, ordering them to smoother their lips with honey (μέλι - méli), in order to bring them wisdom and eloquence.

Greek myth Zeus’s father, Kronos, wanted to kill him even before he was born, so his mother, Rhea, switched the infant with a rock, which Kronos then swallowed whilst she spirited the infant Zeus away to a secret cave on Mt.Dikte, on the island of Crete.

There are various versions about what happened next, one has Zeus raised in a cave full of honeybees, which he later rewarded by giving them their golden colour.

Another version is that nymph Melissa (goddess of honey and beekeeping), feeds baby Zeus honey from sacred bees and gives him milk from a goat named Amaltheia, which, in yet another version is a goat-tending nymph, who reared Zeus.

Which version you prefer, Zeus, king of the Olympian gods, was raised on honey.

Hippocrates (466 - 377 BC), "Father of medicine", was a great believer in the power of honey as the go to remedy for soothing most ancient ailments.

Aristotle (384 - 322 BC) The great Greek philosopher, wrote about the art of beekeeping in his first book, "Historia Animalium" (The History of Animals). At the time of writing his book, people believed bees did not produce their young but found them in flowers but Aristotle thought they developed within honeycomb cells. He never did figure out though, how bees made honey and decided it came from the atmosphere.

The author of the Iliad and the Odyssey Homer, goes into great detail about searching for wild honey amongst the rocks. At the Olympic Games in ancient Greece, athletes drank honey water in order to regain their strength. Pythagoras, the ancient mathematician, considered honey the elixir of youth, to consume it was the sure-fire way to longevity.

    Earth & Fire - Invitation

    @ArnoldVeeman

    1 jaar geleden

I wish to address the music industry, both past and present, about the importance of recognizing and promoting genuine, independent talent. Earth & Fire, a Dutch rock and pop band, is a prime example of such talent that could have achieved global fame. Their song "Storm and Thunder" was a source of inspiration for King Crimson's "Starless and Bible Black", which gained more global recognition, leading many to believe it was an original piece. While it was indeed an original work, it was undeniably influenced by Earth and Fire's song, a fact that has not been sufficiently discussed or acknowledged.

Earth & Fire was a band that had the potential for worldwide recognition. Their first eight singles were almost uninterrupted top-5 hits in the Netherlands from 1970 to 1974. They also charted in continental Europe, particularly in Belgium and Germany. However, they never gained significant popularity in the United Kingdom or the United States. Their biggest hit was "Weekend" (1979), a number one disco track in the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Portugal, and Switzerland. This is a testament to their potential for international success.

It's regrettable that this didn't happen, and the blame lies squarely on the record labels and the entertainment industry.

History has shown that they were wrong not to push this wonderful band into the limelight, as they did with other, often more generic, artists. When I introduce people to Earth & Fire's music, they are immediately captivated, and these are people from outside the Netherlands. So, to those in the industry who overlooked this band, I have a Dutch saying for you: "scratch yourselves behind the ears". Once you understand the meaning of this phrase, you might regret not giving Earth & Fire the chance they deserved.

  • The Palermo Stone is an ancient Egyptian artifact dates back to the 5th Dynasty of the Old Kingdom, around 2400 BC. It is one of the seven surviving fragments of a larger piece, known collectively as the Royal Annals of the Old Kingdom, which recorded the reigns of the early Egyptian pharaohs. The stone was discovered in 1866 in the city of Palermo, Sicily, Italy, by an Italian collector named Ferdinand Guidano, who later donated it to the Palermo Archaeological Museum where it remains today.

It’s a polished, black basalt slab that measures approximately 43.5 centimeters high, 25 centimeters wide, and 6.5 centimeters thick. The stone is inscribed on both sides with horizontal registers containing hieroglyphic text. Each register is divided into a series of compartments, with each compartment recording the events of a single year of a king’s reign. The hieroglyphs detail the names of kings, religious ceremonies, tax records, and other significant occurrences.
