De Nachtwacht van Rembrandt van Rijn

Restauratie van een van de beroemdste schilderijen ter wereld.

Het schilderij is al meer dan 350 jaar oud. Het is dus de hoogste tijd voor een restauratie. In de zomer van 2019 begonnen de restaurators aan hun werk.

Restaurator Katrien Keune analyseert de scheikundige samenstelling van het schilderij, zodat het restauratieteam precies weet hoe ze moeten gaan werken. Deze video is gemaakt in het kader van Fellowship 2019.

350 jaar geleden werd schilder Johannes Vermeer begraven.

In de aanloop naar de grote Vermeer-tentoonstelling in 2023 deed Gregor Weber onderzoek naar hoe Vermeers katholieke omgeving van invloed is geweest op zijn leven en schilderwerk. Zo is hij meer te weten gekomen over het gebruik van de camera obscura. Hoe kwam Vermeer hiermee in aanraking? En wat heeft zijn buurman van de orde van de jezuïeten ermee te maken?
