• The Woman Who Said “No” and Saved a Generation

In 1960, a 46-year-old pharmacologist named Dr. Frances Oldham Kelsey started her first day at the FDA. Within five weeks, she was handed an application that seemed like a "formality."

The drug was Kevadon (Thalidomide). It was already a massive success in Europe, marketed as a "wonder drug" for pregnant women suffering from morning sickness. Most expected her to sign off immediately.

But Frances felt something wasn't right.
She noticed the clinical data was vague. There was almost no evidence showing how the drug affected a developing fetus. While the pharmaceutical company, Richardson-Merrell, pressured her to rush the approval, she stood her ground.

    The Pressure Was Suffocating

For 19 months, the company relentlessly hounded her. They:

Visited her office over 50 times.

    Called her "unreasonable" and "stubborn."

Complained to her supervisors, trying to go over her head.

Had doctors write letters demanding she release the drug.

Can you imagine the weight on her shoulders? A new employee standing up to a corporate giant and an entire industry. But her mantra was simple: "Show me the data."

    A Devastating Discovery

By November 1961, the world’s worst fears came true. In Germany and Australia, babies were being born with Phocomelia—severe limb malformations. Some were born with flipper-like hands attached to their shoulders; others had no limbs at all.

Thousands of babies were born with these deformities, and thousands more were stillborn. Thalidomide was the cause.

    The Silent Hero

Because Dr. Kelsey refused to be bullied, the damage in the United States was largely contained. She didn't just do her job; she protected the future.

On August 7, 1962, President John F. Kennedy awarded her the President’s Award for Distinguished Federal Civilian Service. She was only the second woman to ever receive it.

We often talk about "changing the world." Dr. Kelsey changed it with one word: No.
Sometimes, being "stubborn" is the most heroic thing you can be.

What do you think of Dr. Kelsey's story? Does it inspire you to stand firm in your convictions, even when the world is pushing back?

  • The Rise and Fall of Babylon: History's Greatest City (2300 - 480 BC)

Ancient Babylon history — from a tiny town on the Euphrates River to the greatest city of the ancient world. In this history documentary, we trace the rise and fall of the Babylonian empire across nearly two thousand years of Mesopotamia's most dramatic chapter.

Using historically grounded visuals and cinematic storytelling, this film explores:

How a nomadic Amorite tribe seized an unremarkable town and turned it into the capital of an empire

How Hammurabi forgave all debts on his first day as king — and then wrote laws that protected women, children, and slaves millennia before Europe

Why Babylonian women could divorce their husbands, win in court, and remarry — in the nineteenth century BCE

How Hammurabi played rival kingdoms against each other for thirty years before launching his conquest of all Mesopotamia

Why the Assyrian king Sennacherib burned Babylon to the ground, flooded its ruins, and carried away its gods — and how his own sons murdered him for it

How a Chaldean rebel named Nabopolassar rose from the ashes, crushed the Assyrian empire, and founded a new dynasty

What Nebuchadnezzar built on top of the destruction — walls wider than the Great Wall of China, the cobalt-blue Ishtar Gate, the ziggurat Etemenanki that inspired the Tower of Babel, and the Hanging Gardens that may never have existed

How Babylon became the first city in history to reach two hundred thousand people — when Rome was still a village

Why the Persian conquest and the theft of one statue marked the beginning of the end

And how the Babylon we know from ruins is not the Babylon that became a legend — but a city built on top of its ghost
This is not a summary. It is a reconstruction of a civilization.

  • Epstein-Dutroux

    International child rape Network

Besides being connected to Jeffrey Epstein Robert De Niro is on the client list of Axel Vervoordt. Axel has designed multiple properties for De Niro. Axel

Vervoordt has been named as a co-conspirator of Marc Dutroux who raped children as young as six years old and lived next to the castle where snuff films of children were made. Jeffrey Epstein was sent Axel Vervoordt’s webpage in 2012:

    https://www.justice.gov/age-verify?destination=/epstein/files/DataSet%2010/EFTA02025694.pdf

Moreover, Axel is mentioned in the Podesta emails, hangs with Marina Abramovic, and James Alefantis tagged him in a 2017 Instagram post. It all connects from Jeffrey Epstein to Marc Dutroux!

Here’s what the #Dutroux Dossiers say about Axel Vervoordt:

“*) Count Yann de Meeûs d'Argenteuil (gave a list in 1999 of people he accused of being involved in the trafficking of children and drugs; committed suicide a year later); According to X1, children were tortured and killed in the gatekeeper's apartment on a domain owned by Philippe de Caters. Among them was Katrien de Cuyper. Axel Vervoordt is-was his neighbor at the time. However, the X-Files book already briefly mentioned this fact, before Count Yann's list became known.

*) Extra in 2016: Good friend of the Rockefeller-backed performance artist Marina Abramovic at the time she became a centerpiece in the Pizzagate affair over her so-called "Spirit Cooking" sessions, a mix of mock Satanic (including child sacrifice) and cannibalistic "art" displays
Very well respected art dealer. Began his career as an art and antiques dealer in the late 1960s, when he meticulously renovated a narrow street with sixteen of the oldest houses in Antwerp.

In 1986, his company moved to a castle in the woods of 's-Gravenwezel, a small village just north-east of Antwerp. This estate is right next to the Castle Kattenhof, which was pointed out by Regina Louf as the place where she was forced into torturing and killing of what seems to have been Katrien De Cuyper. His client base consists of extremely rich businessmen from all over Europe and the United States. Friend and decorator of the Belgian royal family. Sting, Bill Gates, and Madonna are among his clients, supposedly just as the Rothschilds, Saudi royals, Otto von Habsburg, and Hans Melchers (of the Dutch Melchemie who was involved in selling chemicals to Iraq in the 1980s). According to Michel van Rijn, Vervoordt not only exhibited art looted by the Nazis from the Adolphe Schloss collection in his booth at the fair in Maastricht, he seems to have also been a paedophile. June 2001, Michel van Rijn: "Axel Vervoordt, dealer in Schloss Art, has been accused by his house guest, Amy Page [US art journalist], of fucking and raping young boys.

During a visit to my house in Rome, Amy told me that Axel's favourite boys were aged between 6 and 12. Now that I have evidence from Amy on tape telling me about Axel's hobby, I guess you don't want to be seen dead in the company of such a predacious paedophile, unless of course you share the same hobby as this low-life.

If it wasn’t for the work of alert and hard-hitting investigative journalist, Jan Portein [Kleintje Muurkrant], these serious allegations might have faded into oblivion." Van Rijn: "The Vervoordts' comment: "We heard on Tuesday of the murder story in the castle for the first time. Sir, we’re bent over laughing."

Meanwhile the detectives are already in the castle looking for comparisons to the X1 story. The resident continues, "Our castle appears regularly in the news because we hold open houses. Thousands of people could describe this place. This castle has appeared in numerous publications. The press have covered it in dozens of stories. Maybe a mythomaniac like X1 used it to locate one of her stories in our castle." ... Our Comment: We don't see what's so funny about the Dutroux case!"

  • To power its green transition, the EU is burning millions of tons of wood pellets every year, shipped in from the US and Canada.

Europe is cutting down forests halfway around the world, grinding them into pellets and shipping them across the Atlantic to burn in its power stations.

Unsurprisingly, the total emissions here are higher than simply burning coal, according to studies by the EU's own scientific advisors.

But countries like the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands do it anyway, because it technically counts as zero carbon emissions.

Carbon Loophole: Why Is Wood Burning Counted as Green Energy?

"Ecologists say that the claims of carbon neutrality, which are accepted by the European Union and the British government, do not stand up to scrutiny"

To power its green transition, the EU is burning millions of tons of wood pellets every year, shipped in from the US and Canada. "Ecologists say that the claims of carbon neutrality, which are accepted by the European Union and the British government, do not stand up to scrutiny" #klimaat #zwendel #groenbedrog

  • The term 'checkmate' has one of the clearest linguistic trails in the history of games. It originates in classical Persian, where 'shāh māt' meant “the king is helpless” or “the king is defeated.” This phrasing reflected the strategic heart of early Persian chess (chatrang), which focused on cornering the king rather than capturing every piece. When the game spread across the Islamic world after the 7th century, the phrase was adopted into Arabic as 'shāh māta', preserving both the sound and the meaning.

As chess moved westward through Moorish Spain and Mediterranean trade routes, the term entered medieval European languages almost unchanged. Early Latin manuscripts on chess refer to 'scaccus mat', while Old French texts use 'eschec mat', both direct descendants of the Persian original. These linguistic borrowings show how faithfully European players preserved the terminology of the cultures that transmitted the game to them. The phrase eventually settled into Middle English as “checkmate,” with “check” itself coming from 'shāh', the Persian word for “king.”

This linguistic journey mirrors the broader cultural transmission of chess. Originating in India, refined in Persia, and expanded by the Arab world, the game carried with it a vocabulary that revealed its intellectual lineage.

Checkmate’ is one of the clearest surviving markers of that heritage, showing that the modern global game still speaks, quite literally, in the language of its Persian past.

  • The greatest country of the world

What do Brooklyn, Harlem, and Wall Street have in common?
They all trace back to a tiny European country: the Netherlands.

Discover how the Dutch Golden Age helped build New York, quietly funded the American Revolution, and introduced ideas like the stock market, corporations, and religious freedom.

Why was Britain so afraid of a Dutch-American alliance that it started a war to stop it? This is the forgotten story of how the Netherlands shaped, and once terrified, America. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z8LJMcvbV88

  • The entire history of Amsterdam (recreated using AI)

Step into the 17th century with The entire history of Amsterdam (recreated using AI). While the rest of Europe was trapped in the Middle Ages, a small, marshy corner of the Low Countries was coding a new kind of power into existence. This video uses advanced AI to visualize how Amsterdam became the world's first "operating system"—a city where ledgers and ink were mightier than swords.
Explore the birth of the Amsterdam Stock Exchange, the rise of the VOC (the world’s first corporation), and the engineering genius behind the iconic Canal Ring. We decode the hidden systems of the Dutch Golden Age, from the silent authority of bureaucratic ledgers in Dam Square to the gritty labor of the Jordaan district. Witness how the Dutch turned physical risk into tradable commodities and engineered a reality where information could finally outrun an army.
Is the modern global city a soul or a machine? Join our community of curious minds as we explore the mechanics of history.
