Europe is chopping down entire forests on the other side of the world, grinding the wood into pellets and shipping them across the Atlantic to burn in dirty, fine particulate-emitting power plants. Unsurprisingly, the total emissions — including cancer-causing fine dust — are higher than burning coal, according to studies from the EU’s own scientific advisors. Yet countries like the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands continue doing it anyway, because it technically counts as zero CO₂ emissions. This fuel was used by Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) that transport maintenance crews daily to the turbines in the North Sea. Due to the insane policies of figures like Timmermans, Klaver, Bontenbal, Jetten and others who claim to be “saving the climate”, farmers, fishermen, SMEs, the economy and nature (including marine life) are being destroyed. Everything is becoming more expensive due to ever-higher taxes.
