The circular stone-cast tablet was recovered from the 650 BC underground library of King Ashurbanipal in Nineveh, Iraq in the late 19th century.
This is very reminiscent of the motifs found on the drums of Nordic nomadic peoples, such as the Sami shamans, which were used in ceremonies to contact the spirit world and achieve transcendental states. What has been depicted is unclear, but there is certainly much knowledge and wisdom that has been forgotten.
