Yet countries like the UK, Denmark and the Netherlands continue doing it anyway, because it technically counts as zero CO₂ emissions. This fuel was used by Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs) that transport maintenance crews daily to the turbines in the North Sea. Due to the insane policies of figures like Timmermans, Klaver, Bontenbal, Jetten and others who claim to be “saving the climate”, farmers, fishermen, SMEs, the economy and nature (including marine life) are being destroyed. Everything is becoming more expensive due to ever-higher taxes. Om de groene misdaad uit te rollen en veel geld te verdienen, verbrandt de EU elke jaar miljoenen tonnen houtpellets, die worden verscheept vanuit de VS en Canada. DE EU kapt bossen aan de andere kant van de wereld om, vermaalt ze tot pellets en verscheept ze over de Atlantische Oceaan om ze in haar elektriciteitscentrales te verbranden. Niet verrassend zijn de totale emissies van kankerverwekkend fijnstof hierbij hoger dan bij het eenvoudigweg verbranden van steenkool, volgens peer-reviewed studies van de eigen wetenschappelijke adviseurs van de EU. Toch doen regeringen van landen zoals het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Denemarken en Nederland het, omdat het technisch gezien als nul CO₂-uitstoot meetelt.
