Lion of the Desert is een Libische / Amerikaanse film met Anthony Quinn als Libisch leider Omar Mukhtar, een bedoeïenleider die vocht tegen het fascistische Italiaanse leger in de jaren voorafgaand aan de Tweede Wereldoorlog, en Oliver Reed als de Italiaanse generaal Rodolfo Graziani, die Mukhtar poogde te verslaan. De film werd geregisseerd door Moustapha Akkad en gefinancierd door de Libische overheid. De band heeft begin jaren 80 een aantal hitsingles gehad zoals "Rosalyn", "Good lookin'", "Whole lot of travellin'" en "Vanity island". Vitesse heeft bestaan van 1975 tot en met 1994. Vitesse is a former Dutch rock group. Drummer and singer Herman van Boeyen was the driving force behind the band. The other roles within the band have been filled by a wide variety of artists. The band had a number of hit singles in the early 80's such as "Rosalyn", "Good lookin '", "Whole lot of travellin'" and "Vanity island". Vitesse existed from 1975 to 1994.
